Botel, Netherlands Amsterdam (Boat Hotel)

Botel is a modern floating 3 star hotel in Amsterdam. A perfect base of operations for getting to know this exciting city.

The Botel is moored at a vibrant spot on the banks of the river IJ: the historic NDSM Wharf.

Formerly a dynamic shipyard, over the last ten years it’s been transformed into the epitome of hip, hot and trendy: festivals, events, art, restaurants

A delicious English and Continental breakfast is served every morning between 7:00 and 10:30 in the breakfast restaurant overlooking the waters of the IJ.

The bar is open daily between 9:00 and 0:45 – there’s a pool table, a pinball machine and a jukebox.

There’s internet access as well and the atmosphere is always great!

Depending on the weather, sunbathe or blow away the cobwebs on the top deck.

Enjoy a drink on the terrace and soak up the panoramic view over the River IJ, on the skyline of centuries old and modern Amsterdam.

The non-smoking rooms have a bathroom with toilet, shower and hair dryer.

Your room is also equipped with, among other things, WiFi (complimentary), a notepad, a safe, satellite TV and complimentary in-house films.

You can choose between a pier and a river facing room. There’s a lift.

Amsterdam. City of tolerance, freedom, magnificent architecture, canals, bridges and, last but by no means least, the museums of Vincent van Gogh and Rembrandt van Rijn. A wonderful city, too, for shopping and nightlife.

A few highlights

Amsterdam has been a city of diamonds for centuries. Visit Gassan Diamonds. They offer complimentary tours daily.

Hopping on a bike is a great way to experience the Amsterdam way of life. The city is home to almost 900,000 bikes! You can rent a bike for one or more days at our reception desk.

Amsterdam has a large variety of restaurants to suit all wallets. The cuisines of the world await you! To help you choose, have a look at Dinnersite.

Next to the Botel lies the Pollux Pacific: a top, beautifully decorated Indo-Asian restaurant on board an historic three-master.

A visit to Amsterdam ArenA is a must for football fans. The home ground of Ajax, ArenA organises daily tours and has a museum dedicated to the club’s history.

Also big concerts take place in the ArenA.

Amsterdam has dozens of unique museums. Everyone knows the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank Museum, but there’s so much more to discover.

You’ll find an overview on the iAmsterdam website.

A visit to Amsterdam wouldn’t be complete without a canal cruise through the city’s waterways.

Canal cruise boats depart from and return to the Amsterdam Central Station and many other locations in the city.

Dinner at Boom Chicago followed by a comedy show (English spoken) is always a hit.
