With its stunning landscapes – lakes, mountains, coastline and historic sites, there’s no better place to unwind from the daily stresses.

There are many towns and idyllic villages to explore, nestled in valleys, on the side of a lake or along the coastline each place has its own story to tell and character to discover.

Hydro Hotel Bowness, Lake District

This popular hotel was built in the 19th-century with views over Windermere Lake.

The hotel has a swimming pool, a sauna plus WiFi All rooms have tea / coffee facilities.

Several dining rooms plus sauna, hot tub/Jacuzzi, hammam, indoor pool (all year) and games room.


Day 1 – After joining your holiday coach, head northbound to your hotel in Bowness on Windermere with comfort stops on the way. Dinner, bed & breakfast.

Days 2 – 4 At leisure with 2 included excursions.

Northern Lakeland – Keswick, Grasmere & Derwentwater
Grasmere – a charming village in the heart of the Lake District National Park, with the opportunity to visit Dove Cottage, the home of William Wordsworth. Onto Derwentwater – a peaceful haven where there will be an opportunity for an optional boat cruise. Final visit of the day is to the Lakeland town of Keswick, on the shores of Derwentwater, the stunningly located town has a wide array of shops and galleries.

Southern Lakeland – Hawkshead, Coniston & Ambleside
Southern lakes with a stop in Hawkshead, an historic and wonderfully picturesque village characterised by its cluster of whitewashed houses, archways and alleyways, courtyards and squares. Lake Coniston – the scene of numerous water speed record attempts and the inspiration for ‘Swallows and Amazons’. Finally Ambleside – one of the jewels of the Lakes, at the head of Lake Windermere.

Day 5 – After breakfast, say farewell and return homewards, arriving back at your local joining points early to mid-evening.
